![]() Upon running the game for the first time, you are presented with a rather simple interface to create a new game. So when I ran across Lux Delux (or just Lux) I was eager to give it a try. Slowly calculating the best positions to place your armies in order to corner the enemy and make them squirm. I have never played Risk, either as a board game or computer game. Risk is the classic game of world domination in which each player attempts to drive their armies over their opponents’ and conquer the entire board. Chess, checkers, Scrabble, Battleship and a host of others have already received such treatment. For instance, I don’t play a single one of the games on most of those lists (except, perhaps for OpenArena once every couple of months out of sheer boredom). I’m pretty picky about the games that I enjoy. ![]() I want to try my hand at something a little different. They all include the same games and really don’t bring any objectivity to the list. One thing I’ve noticed about them, however, is that every single one of them is basically identical. There are plenty of blogs out there with lists of games available for Linux (both free and commercial).
